About
Welcome to Garance, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Paris at 34 Rue Saint-Dominique, 75007. This Michelin-starred restaurant redefines the fine dining experience, blending elegance and comfort seamlessly. Here, guests are treated to a culinary journey curated by a top-tier chef renowned for their innovative take on haute cuisine.
Combatting the hustle and bustle of Paris, Garance offers a calm and inviting atmosphere, where every detail is designed for your pleasure. Patrons praise the cozy ambiance and the attentiveness of the staff, ensuring that whether you're here for a casual meal or a special occasion, you leave with a feeling of satisfaction and warmth. Vaishnavi Sriram, one satisfied diner, noted the chef’s exceptional ability to prepare a five-course vegetarian meal that delighted the senses—a testament to the kitchen’s creativity and precision.
Walking into Garance, one immediately notices the open kitchen, allowing diners to witness the artistry behind each dish. This transparency not only enhances the overall experience but also builds a connection between the food and those who enjoy it. Theo Harvey aptly described it as "incredible" and acknowledged the meticulous attention given by the staff. Complimentary small pre-starter dishes and delightful coffee biscuits are just some of the thoughtful touches that elevate the meal.
Each dish at Garance tells a story. For instance, Rr Rr's experience with the halibut—"buttery perfection"—highlights the chef's mastery over flavor and texture. The eggplant entrée showcased a unique softness paired with a meaty essence, exemplifying how Garance transcends typical interpretations of vegetarian cuisine. Every plate serves not just food, but an experience imbued with the essence of fine dining.
As you savor the taste of Garance, you realize you are not just another diner; you are part of a narrative shaped by passion and skill. As Henri Haugberg noted, the price to experience comparison is average, making Garance not just a restaurant but a valued jewel worth visiting in Paris. This is more than just a meal; Garance is where memories are crafted, and moments are cherished, ensuring you’ll be longing to return.
“ The food was delicious and the chef specially made a 5 course vegetarian meal for us. ”
“ We made a reservation at this Michelin 1 star restaurant and thought it was quite good. The halibut was buttery perfection. The server described to us in great detail the complex cooking method to yield this level of tenderness. The eggplant entree was soft and yet had a meaty texture to it. Service was top grade at this small restaurant that seems to be a bigger lunch venue than dinner menu given its location in the 7th Androssiment ”
“ Calm and comfortable environment. Good food and very nice staff. Price to experience comparison was average (meaning within what was expected based on price) ”
“ Terrific restaurant. We were fortunate to go with an international wine expert, and they were able to talk to him about everything, and we had 3 wonderful bottles with their great set menu. I assume they could do good recommendations even without the expertise, but for sure they have the place, the service, the food, and the bottles. ”
“ Cosy fine dining experience! The crew were so nice to explain about the dishes and to ensure that you are having a good time too (: ”
“ Incredible haute cuisine from a top chef & team. Attentive, detailed service & the open kitchen in the entrance is an excellent addition to the experience. A must visit in Paris for me and I will be returning. Complimentary small pre-starter dishes & coffee biscuits were the icing on the cake. ”
“ Gluten free / sans gluten friendly Had a wonderful lunch here with my hubby and another couple. Small place that fills up. Reservations are a must. Just lovely dining areas. Our server was lovely and super informative on the wines we had. He took extra care of me due to my celiac. Did let the restaurant know on our reservation that one of us had a gluten allergy. They were amazing on letting me know what I can eat and that they had planned ahead for me I had special items ready for me. Also items planned for me incase I wanted something that could not modified on the menu. Had the chicken on the menu and a special dish that they created for me instead of the soup I asked for. Soup had bread in it. I had a wonderful roasted tomato and herb sorbet. It was to die for. We will definitely be back here next time we are in Paris. ”
